Handy Projects

I'm not an electrician, plumber, contractor, architect, carpenter, nor designer. But I will tell you if you need one for your project.

I have worked as an art director, owned a small advertising agency, rehabbed 6 of my own houses (Oak Park, Chicago and Indiana dunes), have helped many others with theirs, currently keep up 2 historic landmark structures in Pullman (one of which is my home and art studio ) and do complex art installations/constructions. My varied past and present gives me an unusual set of skills to draw from. I've done gut rehabs to minor tending. I delight in unconventional projects (and people) but find merit in getting a door not to stick. I do "handy projects" 2 days a week (3 if you really need it done) and do art the rest of the week.

I like things that work and straight lines.

Web Sites     (art sites only)

I learned how to build websites as part of running an advertising/promo agency in the early 90's. It was time to go digital and I did (with some help from a big-time new york web designer friend). Back then the web editor programs were iffy at best - So I learned to hand code sites and still code by hand today. The sites are clear, unencumbered, easy to navigate/index and work on cross browsers. They are not built to compete with the art but are designed to show it.

If you like your art, you will most likely like your site.
